The Old Barn family bar opens at Easter for the season. We will be open Fridays & Saturdays during April, then 5 nights a week (closed Sunday & Monday) from May 5th weekend until 1/2 term. We will then open every night during the the peak season and back to 5 nights a week during September when we close on the last weekend of the month. We open in the evenings from 6pm and serve local Palmers real ales, as well as lagers and ciders on tap. Just arrived this spring is the new Dorset Orchards Apple Bee cider. We also have a range of spirits, soft drinks and bottled beers.
Following the success of our ‘Festival Foods’ we have exciting food choices again from local vendors this year. Portland Pizza Company with their wood fired pizza oven and Bennetts award winning Fish and Chips will be returning for the Mayday bank holiday weekend then regular Fridays & Saturdays during May until 1/2 term at the end of the month, together with new offerings from 1/2 term Bennetts are doing regular Tuesdays and Fridays, while Portland Pizza will be here Wednesdays & Saturdays. Lee will also be making yummy crepes again during our peak periods when we will have festival food vendors every night. You are welcome to order a takeaway to be delivered to the bar if you don’t fancy the festival food. We will give you plates and knives and forks, and even do the washing up for you!! We don’t produce food from the bar anymore.
If you are local to Weymouth, why not take a stroll down Fleet Lane, or the stunning Dorset coastal path and call in for a well earned pint or sample the festival food. During peak season we have bands, Morris dancers and quiz nights.
The converted 19th Century building offers a relaxed atmosphere, games room and stunning views over the Fleet Lagoon. If it’s a bit chilly outside on those spring or autumn evenings, you’ll be sure of a warm welcome by our log burning stove.
